Kelsy Davis The Radical Soul grew out of a dirt road in backwoods South Carolina. That dirt road led him to Atlanta (where he now resides), and to Durham, North Carolina where he perfected his musical craft.

A graduate of Duke University, Radical Soul began to surface while Kelsy Davis was earning a degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. There he founded and hosted an event called the Blue Roach held in Duke's quaint little coffee house on the east side of campus. Many great performers (writers, poets, musicians, etc.) graced the Blue Roach stage, including the likes of Amiri 'Leroi Jones' Baraka, Ntozake Shange, and Jessica Care-Moore. The Blue Roach soon became popular amongst all the area schools, and helped Kelsy Davis The Radical Soul spawn a style and rhythm all his own. From North Carolina, Kelsy Davis returned to Atlanta where he keeps his musical knives sharpened.

Since stepping on to the music scene in 2006, with his debut album "Break The Mold" Kelsy Davis has been an underground favorite for years. Fans from Atlanta to Los Angeles to Amsterdam and London, have tried to describe just what “it” is about the Radical Soul, Kelsy Davis that intrigues and captivates them. Some say “it” is the way in which he spins lyrics about lust, love and relationships. Others say “it” is the way he beats the keys coupled with “gritty yet raw” performance swagger that explodes on stage when you least expect it. Still others say it is simply the sound of his music, often times likened to what might have been if Elton John, Otis Redding and Sly Stone were one person. But no matter what “it” is, all who witness “it” agree: Kelsy Davis gives fans a new dose of funk, with a serving of soul from a radical perspective!

On the wings of a Radical Soul, Kelsy Davis has traveled the world. He has spread Radical Soul throughout the United States and has also done tours in the Netherlands and England. Kelsy Davis has performed with musical legend, Gil Scott-Heron. He has also shared stages with Saul Williams, Anthony David, El Grupo Fantasma, Chante Moore, Kenny Latimore, N'Dambi, Kindred the Family Soul, Donnie, Joi, and HBO Def Poets Abyss and Georgia Me. Kelsy Davis was named Atlanta's Best Underground Performing Artist or Group in 2005. He has also graced the covers of magazines such as Unsigned Music Magazine, Downloadz Magazine, and NAL (National Artist League) Magazine.

Currently Kelsy Davis Radical Soul has been working diligently on his newest work of art; aptly named Passion Fruit: Sweets, Treats & Sour Grapes. Available now at www.RadicalSoulMusic.com, Davis came up with the original story line and concept for the album. Then he teamed up with Kassious Young, a storywriter; to create a very sexy new album and concept. Passion Fruit is the first project within a series of Radical Soul projects entitled "The Story of Man". He (Davis) did not want his next album to be just a collection of songs. Davis tells a story with his songs. In Passion Fruit we discover that "Man is a man, and only a man..."

Be on the look-out summer 2012 for the deluxe version of Passion Fruit complete with a storybook, illustrations, and full soundtrack. The Radical Soul, ever eager to please his fans released the "Passion Fruit" limited edition CD, which contains the Passion Fruit soundtrack; available now at RadicalSoulMusic.com.
